Occupational Therapist - Occupational Therapy


Job Details:


• Work Monday through Friday from approximately 7:45 AM to 4:00 PM
• No weekend rotations, on-call duties, or holiday requirements
• See 6 patients/points per day with evaluation visits counting as 1.5 points and standard visits as 1 point
• Provide home health occupational therapy services covering Racine and Kenosha Counties
• Travel between patient homes with most patients within 20-30 minutes, occasional patients up to one hour away
• Work with interdisciplinary teams including RNs and PTs
• Participate in morning team huddle via phone each day
• Required certifications: BLS and Wisconsin OT license
• Must have active driver's license, vehicle, and auto insurance
• Bachelor's degree in occupational therapy accepted
• Minimum 3 years OT experience required (SNF, home health, or acute care preferred, with home health experience most preferred)
• First-time travelers accepted
• Focus on ADLs and adaptive equipment for adult patients
• Common diagnoses include post-stroke, post-joint replacement, weakness, deconditioning, COPD, and CHF
• Use EPIC EMR system (preferred experience)
• Dress code: Business casual or any color scrubs
• Orientation includes first day at Milwaukee office, EPIC training, and remainder of week with preceptor

This home health organization provides comprehensive healthcare services directly to patients in their homes throughout Wisconsin counties. The facility operates with interdisciplinary teams including registered nurses, physical therapists, and occupational therapists to deliver coordinated patient care. The organization utilizes modern technology including EPIC EMR systems and maintains strong support structures with supervisory staff and management teams to ensure quality patient outcomes in the home health setting.
