Pharmacy Technician – Yakima, WA Job Brief Employment duration: Full time Exempt Status: Non‑exempt Relocation: No Job ID: 16775 What We Offer $21.23 - $26.01 /hour DOE with potential for higher pay for experienced candidates 100% employer‑paid health insurance (medical, dental, vision, Rx, 24/7 telemedicine) Profit sharing and 403(b) retirement plan Generous PTO, 8 paid holidays, and more What You’ll Do Enter patient data in the system, including name, insurance, allergies, provider, and diagnosis Enter the prescription into the system, selecting brand, product, drug, and appropriate strength per provider instructions Fill or dispense products from pharmacy stock and deliver to patients Process prescription refills, verifying refill availability Maintain awareness of stock levels and place orders for restocking at defined minimum inventory levels; verify quantity and submit orders to the wholesaler Verify product orders received against invoice and purchase order; place a sticker on each item and shelve Monitor expiration dates on drugs in stock and prepare expired stock for return to the wholesaler; process credit invoices for returns Return or discard dispensed prescriptions not picked up within 30 days; enter information in the system for reverse billing Complete third‑party billing forms and contact the provider if prior authorization is required Perform other duties as assigned Perform clinical responsibilities in alignment with The Joint Commission, HRSA, and YVFWC requirements Qualifications High School Diploma or GED One year’s experience in a pharmacy setting preferred Pharmacy Technician license for Washington State or Pharmacy Intern license Eligible for bilingual differential compensation when ALTA score of 9 is achieved Bilingual English/Spanish preferred at level 9 Effective verbal and listening communication skills with a customer‑oriented approach Knowledge of medical terminology Ability to perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, filing, faxing, scanning, and copying Ability to work as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for multitasking Basic proficiency with a variety of computer systems, including Microsoft Office, preferred Basic knowledge of at least one pharmacy software system and ability to learn new systems Pre‑employment drug screen required after conditional offer of employment Mission Statement Together we transform our communities through compassionate, individualized care, eliminating barriers to health and well‑being.
