Golf School District 67 is seeking a student-centered leader for the position of Director of Student Services. As a champion for inclusive practices and equitable opportunities, you will provide leadership and oversight of the District's support programs, ensuring every learner has the support needed to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. Office Location: Hynes Elementary School

Classification: Licensed - Administration

Qualifications & Requirements

Licensure: Must hold a Type 75/PEL in administration and be trained in PERA evaluation.

Certification: State-approved Director of Special Education certificate preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three years of experience in special education administration or a related field.

Primary Responsibilities

• Program Leadership: Supervise and evaluate Special Education, MTSS, and at-risk programs to ensure effective student identification and service delivery.
• Service Coordination: Oversee a continuum of services from preschool through 8th grade, including out-of-district placements and support for hospitalized or homebound students.
• Department Oversight: Coordinate psychological, speech, nursing, and social work services.
• Compliance & Records: Oversee the maintenance of special education and 504 records, ensuring documentation is timely, accurate, and legally compliant.
• Liaison Duties: Serve as the district liaison to special education cooperatives and for children experiencing homelessness.
• Administrative Management: Manage budgets, grants, and professional development while collaborating with administrators on staff recruitment and training.
• Community Representation: Represent the Superintendent at inter-agency functions and serve as a District Complaint Manager.

Physical Requirements & Environment

Settings: Active work across classrooms, offices, and community settings.

Mobility: Requires moving freely across numerous locations, involving frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, and lifting.

Environmental Exposure: Includes exposure to weather conditions and the typical noise/activity levels of a school setting.

Travel: Ability to travel outside the district for conferences and meetings.

Compensation & Benefits

Salary Range $115,000-$130,000
