We are seeking a dedicated and skilled experienced Dental Assistant for adult general dentistry to join our dental office for Tue-Fri 8:30 am-5pm. 1 hr. lunch. The Pay will depend on experience. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our dental team. This position involves assisting with various dental procedures, managing patient records, and ensuring a smooth workflow within the office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
• Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary supplies are available.
• Take digital X-rays as required, adhering to safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient information using electronic health records.
• Monitor and record vital signs of patients before procedures.
• Provide excellent customer service by greeting patients, answering questions, and addressing any concerns.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
• Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
• Support pediatric patients with a compassionate approach to create a comfortable environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with dental terminology, procedures, and equipment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and ability to manage medical records effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while maintaining professionalism at all times.
• Must be able to pass any required background checks or certifications related to the position.
