Emergency Department Technician

Department: Fenton Emergency Room

Shift: Day

Daily Work Times: 7:00 a.m. - 7:30 p.m.

Scheduled Biweekly Hours: 72

Pay Range: $17.60 - $21.30

Position Summary:

Responsible for providing basic nursing care and specific nursing functions within the Emergency Department under the direction of the registered nurse. ERTs will complete basic arrhythmia class for ERTs with a minimum score of 80% on the written test within two attempts. In addition, they must satisfactorily complete the competency testing for IV and urinary catheter placement.

Required:

• Possess high school diploma or equivalent.

• Possess BCLS certification.

• Possess licensure as Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic.

• Possess minimum of six months Emergency Department, Emergency Medical Technician, or paramedic experience.
