About the Role:

Seaside Counseling and Wellness is looking for a compassionate and dedicated Children's Therapist to join our growing team in beautiful Mount Pleasant, SC. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families in our community. Responsibilities:

• Provide individual therapy sessions to children using evidence-based treatment modalities (CBT, play therapy, trauma-informed care, etc.)
• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with parents, guardians, and caregivers to support therapeutic goals at home
• Coordinate care with schools, pediatricians, and other community providers as needed
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and agency standards
• Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
• Active or eligible licensure in South Carolina (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
• Experience working therapeutically with children and adolescents
• Familiarity with play therapy, trauma-focused CBT, or other child-centered modalities preferred
• Strong communication and family engagement skills
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and manage a diverse caseload
• Empathetic, patient, and culturally competent approach to care
