About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director to lead its mission of empowering individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The successful candidate will serve as the chief executive officer, responsible for advancing the organization's mission, overseeing operations, and fostering a culture of transparency, collaboration, and inclusion. This role requires a visionary leader with a servant leadership approach, high emotional intelligence, and a proven track record in strengthening organizational culture and alignment. The Executive Director will also be tasked with strategic and financial leadership, including leading fundraising efforts, and will be the primary spokesperson for the organization, engaging with a wide range of stakeholders. Candidates for the Executive Director position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, with a Master's degree preferred, and a minimum of 7-10 years of executive or senior leadership experience. The ideal candidate will have a background in nonprofit, disability services, healthcare, or related sectors, and a strong understanding of public policy, advocacy, and government relations. Key qualifications include experience in fundraising, grant acquisition, and revenue development, as well as a commitment to disability inclusion, equity, and community engagement. The role demands exceptional communication skills, the ability to build strong relationships, and a collaborative leadership style that can bring diverse stakeholders together around a shared vision.
