As an Acquisition Analyst (Undersea Rescue Systems) on the Team Submarine In Service contract, you will be part of a dynamic team in Washington, D.C. and provide programmatic support to the Undersea Special Mission Systems program office at Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA). You will be expected to bring your expertise and collaborative skills to make an impact towards our military defense and safety of our sailors. You will have influence every day in managing and supporting a critical need to maintain our submarine force operational and at-sea.
Serco supports the US Navy as a subcontractor for their Team Submarine contract in the maintenance, sustainment, and disposal of in-service submarines. The Team Submarine concept unifies diverse submarine-related activities into a single submarine-centric organization with the goal of eliminating traditional stovepipe structures and processes in the submarine research, development, acquisition, and maintenance communities. Team Submarine provides improved communication among the various offices that contribute to the overall success of the United States Submarine Force.
In this role, you will:
Provide acquisition management planning and execution support, to include meeting and updating the customer on project status.
Support all contract management support-related issues, including required reports and presentations responsible for quality control and timeliness.
Support or lead program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance.
Provide financial and management support to assist in budget development for the contract.
Deliver the technical performance within cost and schedule parameter through completion of the contract.
Develop and monitor program plan including time and cost estimates, ensuring delivery of project outputs on schedule and within funding.
Assist technical discussions for project reviews, including preparing and delivering formal briefings.
Participate in company Business Development efforts.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will have:
Ability to obtain and maintain an Active DOD Secret Clearance
US Citizenship
A Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field
An Associates Degree and 2 years of additional relevant/similar experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field or a High School Diploma/GED and 4 years of additional relevant/similar experience will be considered in lieu of a Bachelor's degree in a business or technical field.
5 years of relevant/similar experience.
Knowledge and experience with Navy acquisition and submarine programs.
Experience leading a project and interfacing with an end item customer.
Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
Additional desired experience and skills:
A current or active DoD Secret security clearance.
Experience with exposure in the areas of engineering/science management, operations research analysis, financial/cost analysis.
Knowledge of program management, to include the acquisition process, the budgeting process and Navy program execution.
Active-duty experience in the Submarine Service.
Familiarity with Submarine Rescue Systems.
Experience with Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR).
Recent experience in Team Submarine.

Salary range: The range for this position can be found at the top of this posting. This range is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels.
