The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 20-bed unit that provides round-the- clock critical care to infants, children, and adolescents with life-threatening illnesses or injuries. They continuously monitor vital signs, manage ventilators, administer high-risk medications, and assist physicians during bedside procedures. The team provides emotional support and education to families facing stressful medical crises. As a state designated Level 1 trauma center, the unit cares for patients before and after complex procedures. The multidisciplinary team delivers highly specialized monitoring, critical care interventions, and evidence-based treatment focused on achieving optimal patient outcomes throughout the continuum of care. Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification are required. 3-5 years of Pediatric RN experience Required. Previous acute care experience is preferred; 1-2 years of Pediatric ICU RN experience is highly preferred. An Associate's degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelor's degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, as is prior patient care experience and comfort with electronic medical record systems (EMR) like EPIC. This position is Night Shift, Per Diem.
