ABOUT THE JOB 

The Sales Assistant is an entry-level business development role designed to help Banko identify, qualify, and develop new builder relationships across all markets. Think of this position as a “fisherman.” The goal is not to close every opportunity. The goal is to find the right ponds, identify the right fish, and determine which opportunities are worth pursuing. This person will actively call on new residential builders and designers to introduce Banko, learn about their business, understand their garage door needs, and determine whether there is a legitimate opportunity for a long-term relationship. The apprentice will be trained in Banko's products, processes, and relationship-based selling, with the expectation that the role could develop into a full Custom Garage Door Sales Representative position.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Find New Opportunities
  • Identify builders operating in Banko's current markets.
  • Research new permitted construction projects.
  • Develop targeted lists of potential builder accounts.
  • Identify the decision-makers involved in garage door purchasing, including owners, purchasing managers, construction managers, estimators, and project managers.
  • Look for builders that fit Banko's ideal customer profile.

• Make the First Connection
  • Make outbound calls, emails, social, and introductions to prospective builders.
  • Introduce Banko's reputation, capabilities, products, and service model.
  • Build relationships to earn ability to quote future business.

Qualifications:

• CRM experience is crucial (HubSpot is preferred) 
• Naturally curious.
• Confident approaching people they don't know.
• Comfortable making cold calls and walking into businesses.
• Persistent without being pushy.
• A good listener.
• Organized and disciplined.
• Comfortable asking questions.
• Able to quickly determine whether an opportunity is worth pursuing.
• Comfortable hearing “no.”
• Energetic and personable.
• Interested in developing a long-term career in sales.
