Environmental Health and Safety ManagerLocation: Dunkirk, IN, US, 47336Job ID: 62130Role DescriptionThe Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Manager will be responsible for overseeing all safety operations at their designated plant. This role will be responsible for supporting and monitoring the Environmental, Health, and Safety program for the plant with a focus on the prevention and control of occupational injury and illnesses.ResponsibilitiesLeads the planning, execution, monitoring, and continuous improvement of environmental health and safety programsManages programs geared to protect the health and safety of company employees, visitors, and contractors, as well as the company's compliance with regulationsIdentifies and corrects potentially hazardous activities and ensures that employees are informed of safety and health protocols and that environmental health and safety training is conducted as requiredPromotes safe and professional work practices and conditions that are compliant with environmental, health, and safety policies and regulationsReports any EHS incident, root cause analysis results, corrective actions, and communication to internal and external stakeholders into the Ardagh Glass Packaging ARMs systemRepresents the company as the EHS subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholdersPrepares and submits EHS reports, assessments, and records to internal stakeholders and external regulatory agenciesKeeps abreast of the latest EHS trends, policies, regulations, and best practicesComplies with environmental and food safety standards as set forth in plant policies and programs within the departmental responsibilitiesMinimum Skills / QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalentThree (3) years of environmental health and safety experience in a manufacturing environmentHigh level of independent thinking and be able to resolve regulatory and technical issues to best advise management on resolving health and safety issuesAbility to interpret OSHA and EPA regulations and related safety/environmental regulationsExcellent communication skills with internal and external customersAbility to travel up to 20%Preferred Skills / QualificationsBachelor's degree in Industrial Safety Management, Environmental Management, or a related fieldPrevious experience in a management roleProfessional certification (e.g. CSP, CIH, CHMM)Lean Six Sigma certificationISO 14001/45001 experienceExperience in creating Power Business Intelligence (BI) dashboardsBenefits OfferedMedical, prescription, dental and vision plansFlexible Spending Accounts (FSA)Life insurance401(k) retirement plan with company matchPaid holidays and vacationShort- and Long-Term Disability (STD/LTD)Employee Assistance Program (EAP)Apprenticeship programsProfessional and personal development opportunities through Employee Resource GroupsArdagh reserves the right to modify this information at any time in accordance with applicable law.About Ardagh Glass Packaging (AGP)Ardagh Glass Packaging (AGP) is a global supplier of recyclable glass packaging for brand owners in the beverage, food, pharmaceutical and chemical sectors.
