Team members are expected to uphold high professional and ethical standards in all aspects of service. Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Police Officer role located in Fort Fairfield, ME. The Police Officer is responsible for patrolling assigned areas, responding to calls for service, enforcing laws and ordinances, and conducting traffic stops. Daily duties include preparing reports, preserving and documenting evidence, assisting in criminal investigations, and providing support to victims and community members. The role involves participating in community policing initiatives, attending court as required, and collaborating with other officers and public safety agencies. Officers are expected to exercise sound judgment, maintain situational awareness, and act in accordance with department policies and applicable laws. Qualifications Demonstrated knowledge of law enforcement practices, including experience or training related to Police Officers and Police procedures. Ability to handle, preserve, and document Evidence in accordance with legal and departmental standards. Skills or training in Criminal Investigations, including interviewing, fact-gathering, and report writing. Understanding of Law Enforcement principles, community policing, and public safety operations. High school diploma or equivalent; post-secondary education in criminal justice or a related field is preferred. Ability to meet all statutory and departmental requirements for police certification and firearm qualification. Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and independently. Willingness to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergencies as needed.
