Join the Glacier Bank team in Whitefish, Montana as a Teller. Pay range is $18.20 – $23.91 per hour, depending on experience. Essential Functions Process deposits, withdrawals, cash checks (customer & non‑customer), buy and sell cash, change orders, cash advances, loan payments, cashier’s checks, GL credit/debit, advice of credit/debits, Canadian exchanges, and telephone transfers. Print statements, cash savings bonds, and other financial documents. Handle fraud & non‑fraud debit card disputes and ATM disputes. Use the Haberfeld brochure to select the appropriate account type for customers. Operate and maintain branch capture machine, currency counter, coin counter, MICR printer, teller cash dispenser, and teller cash recycler (if applicable). Use Silverlake, Vertex, NetTeller, and Passport to find information and complete transactions. Track logs in the branch and understand the purpose of each log. Apply banking regulations D, DD, E, CC, OFAC, Privacy, CIP, and BSA. Use knowledge of personal and business account types, online banking, bill pay, and mobile check deposit to assist customers. Facilitate proper access to safe deposit boxes. Greet customers immediately and maintain appropriate conversation in line and on the phone. Maintain neat and organized cash drawer and teller work area. Keep cash drawer within limits. Follow clean desk policy, protect customer confidentiality, and lock workstations. Apply dual control when required, ensuring proper oversight from start to finish. Handle dormant/escheat accounts correctly. Verify customer identification. Read account and customer alert messages every time and understand their importance. Additional Responsibilities Deliver exceptional service by embracing the service pledge and asking about customer needs. Participate in required training, staff meetings, and lobby displays. Engage in community service and bank‑sponsored activities that support Glacier Bank’s mission and values. Provide superior internal and external customer service, demonstrating courtesy, respect, and a positive attitude. Complete mandatory bank training courses within assigned time frames. Comply with all company policies, legal regulations, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and OFAC. Represent Glacier Bank professionally, maintaining a tidy workspace and confidentiality. Maintain regular and reliable attendance. Complete additional duties as requested or assigned. About You – Required Qualifications High degree of attention to detail and excellent organizational skills for a fast‑paced environment. Ability to prioritize and organize a heavy workload and manage time effectively. Professional courtesy, strong customer service, and tact in a high‑pressure setting. Accuracy under pressure, balancing multiple deadlines and making decisions based on regulations and company policy. Effective communicator in both verbal and written formats. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of complex written and oral instructions. Basic computer skills with word processing, spreadsheets, ten‑key, and general applications. Knowledge of standard office equipment. High‑school diploma or equivalent. Preferred Qualifications A moderate level of banking knowledge is desired. Work Environment Indoor, climate‑controlled shared workspace with moderate noise. Occasional travel up to 10 days per year via car, commercial airlines, rental vehicles, or public transportation, including lodging in public facilities. Physical Demands Regular sitting, repetitive hand motions, talking, and hearing. Occasional standing, walking, and light lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to climb, descend stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, push, and pull. Routine use of computer equipment for 6–8 hours per day; extended hours or off‑site travel possible.
