About the Role:
North Shore Center for Speech, Language, and Swallowing Disorders is seeking skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologists to join our team. CFY's are welcome. Complete your CF in 9 months full-time. Experienced in-person supervision provided. North Shore Center for Speech is currently seeking full-time employees and contract Speech Pathologists for home- and community -based Early Intervention in Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Early Intervention (EI), birth-to-3-year-old program specialists assist in the screening, assessment, identification, and treatment of children presenting with developmental delays or disabilities; assist students in the development of cognitive, communication, oral feeding, social and emotional, adaptive, fine and gross motor skills within the home, preschool, and other community settings.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical goals
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting therapy plans as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and caregivers to support patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation and records
• Provide education and guidance to families regarding communication and/or oral feeding strategies
• Participate in team meetings, case reviews, and continuing education opportunities

Requirements:

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
• Current New York State licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA, or Clinical Fellowship (CF) candidates are welcome
• Experience with speech and language treatment for birth-3
• Pediatric feeding experience or desire to learn
• Strong diagnostic, clinical reasoning, and treatment planning skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families, and colleagues
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and maintains accurate and up-to-date patient records
