Senior Project Developer

Salary: $60,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• We need 7–12 years of progressive experience in renewable energy project development, permitting, or project management, with a proven record of independently delivering projects from greenfield through pre-construction.
• We require a bachelors degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Urban Planning, or a related discipline; a masters degree is strongly preferred.
• Professional credentials such as PMP, LEED, or similar certifications are an advantage.
• We expect proficiency with GIS tools, project management platforms, and CRM systems such as Salesforce, MS Project, Primavera, or comparable software.
• We look for strong expertise in feasibility analysis, environmental review, regulatory compliance, and multi-jurisdictional permitting approaches.
• We require solid financial acumen, including financial modeling, development budgeting, cost estimating, and structuring commercial agreements.
• We value established relationships with utilities, regulators, landowners, and development consultants.
• We expect advanced capability with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using scheduling, database, and project management tools.
• We are seeking a strategic, highly organized, decisive, and proactive leader who can manage competing priorities and deliver in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
• We need an exceptional communicator and negotiator who can build trust across internal teams and external stakeholders.

• We will rely on you to lead site identification and advanced feasibility assessments for utility-scale renewable energy projects, combining resource, environmental, grid interconnection, and economic analysis into go/no-go recommendations.
• You will own the full permitting process across local, state, and federal jurisdictions, resolving regulatory issues and maintaining senior-level agency relationships.
• You will negotiate with landowners, utilities, municipalities, First Nations, and government stakeholders to secure site control agreements and project support arrangements.
• You will develop and manage project schedules, budgets, risk registers, and executive progress reporting while driving accountability across workstreams.
• You will lead financial modeling, funding strategy, and the negotiation of commercial agreements such as PPAs, interconnection agreements, and offtake arrangements.
• You will act as the senior cross-functional partner to engineering, environmental, legal, and finance teams, identifying and resolving risks that could delay milestones.
• You will represent our company at public hearings, community meetings, regulatory proceedings, and industry events as a senior spokesperson.
• You will monitor market, policy, and technology trends and turn those insights into strategic recommendations that strengthen our development pipeline.
• You will lead pre-construction handovers to ensure a smooth transition to construction and delivery teams with full compliance and documentation integrity.
• You will mentor and guide junior and mid-level development team members, contributing to capability building and knowledge sharing.
