Our client is seeking a highly motivated Inventory & Receiving Supervisor to lead inventory control, receiving operations, warehouse organization, and material distribution for our cable assembly and wire harness manufacturing facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who enjoys solving problems, driving accuracy, and supporting operational excellence.

What You'll DoLead & Develop Your Team

• Lead, train, mentor, and develop inventory and receiving staff.

• Assign and prioritize daily workloads to support production demands.

• Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.

• Provide coaching, performance feedback, and employee development opportunities.

Drive Inventory Accuracy & Efficiency

• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts, audits, and ERP/MRP transactions.

• Monitor inventory levels and partner with Purchasing to prevent shortages and excess stock.

• Develop and improve inventory control procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.

• Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies.

• Ensure proper storage, labeling, traceability, and inventory organization.

Support Production Through BOM Analysis

• Read and interpret Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing documentation.

• Ensure accurate inventory allocation and material availability for production.

• Coordinate with Purchasing and Production to resolve material shortages or discrepancies.

• Support inventory planning based on product structures, assemblies, and material usage requirements.

Oversee Receiving & Warehouse Operations

• Manage the receipt, inspection, verification, and processing of incoming materials.

• Verify shipments against purchase orders, packing slips, and receiving documentation.

• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to resolve shortages, damages, or discrepancies.

• Ensure materials are received, stocked, and delivered to production efficiently.

• Oversee the safe operation of forklifts, pallet jacks, and material-handling equipment.

Maintain Compliance & Operational Excellence

• Ensure a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.

• Support ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality standards for inventory control and material traceability.

• Prepare inventory reports and communicate key metrics to leadership.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Purchasing, Quality, and Customer Service teams.

What We're Looking ForRequired Experience

• 5+ years of experience in inventory control, receiving, warehouse operations, or materials management.

• 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.

• Experience with ERP/MRP inventory management systems.

Technical Skills

• Ability to read and interpret BOMs, routings, purchase orders, and manufacturing documentation.

• Strong understanding of inventory control principles and warehouse best practices.

• Experience identifying material shortages, substitutions, and inventory discrepancies.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Leadership Skills

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

• Proven success leading, developing, and motivating teams.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Forklift certification (or willingness to obtain certification).

• Experience in cable assembly, wire harness, electronics, or contract manufacturing environments.

• Knowledge of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), revisions, and BOM maintenance.

• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and AS9100 quality systems.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout a warehouse environment for extended periods.

• Ability to safely operate material-handling equipment.

Pay Details: $21.00 to $23.00 per hour
