Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Medical Telemetry unit. This role is essential in providing high-quality care to patients with varying medical conditions, focusing on telemetry and post-ICU care.

Key Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for patients with high oxygen demands, dialysis patients, atrial fibrillation (AFib), and those recovering from heart catheterization.
Assist in special procedures and provide step-down care from the ICU without ventilator or pressor support.
Administer authorized medications and drips, including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, and initiation of sotalol therapy.
Monitor patients' vital signs, perform telemetry assessments, and respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
Floating to other units may be required based on staffing needs.
Participate in weekend coverage on an every other basis, subject to change based on organizational requirements.

Qualifications

Current Tennessee Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of one year of experience in a medical telemetry or similar nursing role.
At least one year of EPIC experience is required.
Certification in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) is necessary.
NIHSS certification is required.
First-time travelers will be reviewed based on their nursing experience.

Shift Information

This position requires night shifts, working 3 shifts per week from 19:00 to 07:30.
