Job Details Schedule: Nights shift, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 48 hours per week. Required Qualifications: Nursing Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) from an accredited school of Nursing, valid North Carolina registered nursing license, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited provider (AHA or ARC), and at least two (2) years of experience in a Progressive Care Unit. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited school of Nursing. Additional Information: Local rate position. Prior experience in a progressive care or comparable setting required. Responsibilities include patient assessment, care planning, bedside point of care testing, patient education, discharge planning, and interdisciplinary communication. Emphasis on safety management, adherence to healthcare standards, and supporting cost-effective care. Demonstrates competence in caring for patients with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety needs. Participates actively in professional growth, unit goals, and performance improvement activities. Ensures compliance with public policy and regulatory guidelines for a safe hospital environment.
