Job Description

Our organization is in search of a skilled and proactive Chief of Plastic Surgery to oversee and expand a multi-site surgical program dedicated to serving Veterans. This pivotal leadership position merges clinical proficiency, academic involvement, and strategic management within a cooperative VA setting. Situated along the Gulf Coast of Florida, this role also benefits from the absence of state income tax, which enhances your overall earnings.

Position Highlights

Leadership position encompassing administrative, clinical, and programmatic responsibilities.
Engagement in active clinical and surgical practice.
Oversight responsibilities across our organization and the Lee County healthcare facility.
Opportunity to mentor residents, students, and a diverse team of professionals.
Ability to shape program development, quality initiatives, and strategic direction.

Key Responsibilities

Direct all facets of plastic surgery services, including clinical care, education, research, and operational management.
Supervise plastic surgeons, residents (both plastic and general surgery), medical students, nursing personnel, and physician assistants.
Engage in strategic planning, program enhancement, and performance improvement initiatives.
Uphold a high standard of surgical practice.
Provide occasional night and weekend on-call coverage.
Conduct regular visits to the affiliated Lee County facility.
