What we’re seeking:

  • Valid and active Connecticut Special Education Teacher license
  • All required certifications to teach Special Education in Connecticut
  • Experience collaborating with school staff, students, and families
  • Adaptability to work with various age groups and abilities
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage caseloads, provide individualized instruction, and implement IEPs
  • Professionalism and reliability in a team environment

Role overview:

  • Step in as a pivotal resource during staff FMLA leaves—assignments average about two months each
  • Deliver support for a range of students and classroom situations (elementary, middle, and high school settings possible)
  • Foster inclusive learning environments tailored to individual needs
  • Implement IEPs and adapt teaching methods to ensure student growth
  • Maintain records and participate in meetings to support student development
  • Offer consistent collaboration with educational teams, therapists, and families to enhance student achievement
  • Provide onsite instruction and guidance aligned with district goals and standards
