VIP staffing is Immediately hiring a Sales & Business Development Representative for a leading organization in Albuquerque

This is a Full Time Direct Hire Opportunity

Pay for this position is $70,000 base + uncapped commission

About the Role

We are seeking a Sales & Business Development Representative who can manage the full sales cycle—from initial customer contact through site evaluation, estimating, proposal development, closing, and project handoff.  This role supports a diverse customer base including residential clients, commercial contractors, property managers, municipalities, school districts, and government agencies. The ideal candidate can balance incoming opportunities while proactively developing new business.

Compensation

• $70,000 annual base salary

• 3% uncapped commission

• Year-one target: ~$1M in sales

• Typical earnings:

  • ~$100K at $1M sales

  • ~$130K at $2M sales

  • ~$160K at $3M sales

• Company vehicle, phone, and technology provided

Key Responsibilities

• Manage sales opportunities from first contact through contract award

• Conduct site visits and measure project requirements

• Prepare material takeoffs, labor estimates, and complete proposals

• Present and negotiate proposals within pricing authority

• Follow up consistently to close profitable work

• Develop new commercial, municipal, and institutional accounts

• Maintain an organized sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts

• Build long-term customer relationships and repeat business

Preferred Background

Experience in any of the following is highly valued:

• Construction sales

• Building-materials sales

• Commercial construction

• Construction estimating

• Outside sales

• Municipal or government accounts

• Specialty subcontracting

Direct fencing experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Proven sales or business-development experience

• Ability to learn construction estimating

• Comfortable with measurements, quantities, costs, and pricing

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills

• Ability to conduct site evaluations

• Strong organization and follow-up

• Ability to manage multiple opportunities independently

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

You excel at both sales and construction-based estimating. You’re comfortable meeting homeowners, walking commercial sites, preparing estimates, closing proposals, and developing long-term relationships with contractors, municipalities, and institutional customers.
