Exciting Opportunity for a Respiratory Therapist!

Job Description:


- Shift: 12-Hour Nights (3x12 hour nights)


- Unit Overview:
- # Treatments per day: 30-40
- Patient Types: Adults, Pediatrics, Newborns
- Conditions Treated: STEMI, CVA, Covid, EKOS, cardiac arrest, IABP


- Work Environment:
- Areas Covered: Inpatient, Outpatient, ER, ICU, Floors, Pediatrics, L&D, Nursery, Sleep Lab, OR, PACU


- Position Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Respiratory Therapist
- Required Skills: Draw ABGs, perform occasional EKGs
- Responsibilities: Assist with intubation procedures


- Team Structure:
- Supervisor: Wendi Graham
- Collaborative environment with a dedicated manager


- Shifts & Scheduling:
- Standard hours: 6:30 PM - 7:00 AM
- Flexible to fill scheduling gaps as needed
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Call Requirements: Typically no call, 30-minute response time

- Dress Code:
- Scrub Color: Wine Burgundy

- Equipment Used:
- Ventilators: Drager, A40, LTV, Avea
- CPAP/BIPAP: V-60, Vapotherms


- Supportive Environment:
- Hospitalist or Intensivist on-site 24/7
- 2 days of department-specific orientation provided

- Interview Questions:
- How do you bounce back from a difficult day?
- What cooping mechanisms do you use outside of work?


- Certifications Required:
- ACLS, BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), PALS, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
