Entry-Level Cable Technician / Low Voltage Installer

Looking to get into the low voltage industry? TEKsystems is hiring Entry-Level Cable Technicians to support commercial construction projects throughout the Newburyport area.

No extensive low voltage experience required. We are looking for reliable individuals who enjoy hands-on work and want to build a long-term career in telecommunications, structured cabling, and technology infrastructure.

This role is a great fit for:

• Cable installers
• Electrical apprentices

• Anyone interested in learning low voltage systems

• Pulling cable through commercial buildings
• Assisting with the installation of Cat5e and Cat6 cabling
• Learning how to terminate and test network cables
• Working with hand and power tools
• Supporting experienced technicians on job sites
• Maintaining a safe and professional work environment

• Construction, electrical, or hands-on work experience preferred
• Ability to work on your feet and lift equipment/materials
• Comfortable using basic hand tools
• Reliable transportation
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
• Positive attitude and dependable attendance

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Andover, MA.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
