Title: Quality Inspector

Type: Temporary to Permanent

Pay: $20 

Shift:  Monday – Friday, 6:30 am to 3 pm (mandatory OT required at times)

Location : Willoughby

Position Summary:

Perform final, first piece, and in-process inspection on a variety of parts and assemblies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform a variety of inspections using a variety of Company measuring instruments and equipment, and the inspection procedures and allowable variations as prescribed.
• Adhere to all applicable procedures as specified in the Company Quality Control Manual.
• Document all inspection data on the respective forms per the Company Quality Control Manual.
• Make clear and concise decisions regarding the acceptance or rejection of an operation or product.
• Initiate/complete Certification, QA and NRC reports as fit
• During in-process inspection, respond cooperatively and expeditiously with Press Room personnel.
• Provide suggestions, ideas, & contribute to continuous improvement activities
• Maintain the inspection area and the equipment in a neat and orderly manner as prescribed by the housekeeping requirements and good process flow.
• Understand high priority demands and maintain in-process inspection.
• Adhere to Company standard procedures such as the Safety Manual and the Employee Handbook.
• Occasionally performs other associated tasks as assigned by the Manager.
• Assist/facilitate press operators in performing their own in process inspections
• Assist in monitoring floor with random floor audits.

Qualifications:

• Prior quality inspection experience required, metal stamping environment preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to use measuring tools and read blueprints.
• Experience with quality related documentation. 
• Good communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Work Environment:

• Manufacturing or production floor environment.
• May be exposed to moderate noise and machinery.
• Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required as applicable.
