Minor Procedures RN

The Minor Procedures RN is responsible for coordinating care delivery within the endoscopy/procedural setting. Must demonstrate strong communication skills, work well in a multi-disciplinary setting and be a strong patient advocate.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Maintains accurate and complete procedural documentation.
• Responds to the needs of the minor procedures care team including but not limited to, gathering of resources, supplies, equipment, and medications.
• Maintains aseptic vigilance and supports all team members in this endeavor.
• Monitors and reports any identified concerns to the appropriate team members.
• Assists with the flow of patients through minor procedures to optimize efficiency.
• Collaborates with all members of the health care team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care, to achieve best patient outcomes.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Required: Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. BLS & ACLS certifications. 2+ years current endoscopy, Phase II, or PCU nursing level of care or higher.
• Preferred: Bachelor's degree in nursing strongly preferred. All ASN must complete their BSN studies within five years of their start date. Master's degree in nursing or related field.
