Labor and Delivery Float Nurse in Fremont, California. This role involves providing specialized nursing care in a Maternal Child Health unit with a focus on labor, postpartum, and neonatal support. The position requires flexibility to float between postpartum and other designated areas, following established guidelines and protocols to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Schedule: Rotating shift times, with 12-hour shifts and a minimum of 36 hours per week starting from 07/20/2026
• Required Qualifications: Valid Licensure (RN), BLS (Basic Life Support), ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), a minimum of 2 years' experience in Labor and Delivery or postpartum nursing, and experience with vaginal exams, circulating C-sections, and fetal monitoring following AWHONN guidelines
• Preferred Qualifications: Familiarity with Phillips monitors and EPIC Electronic Fetal Heart Monitoring system
• Float: Float rotation to postpartum units may be required
• Additional Information: The unit maintains a patient volume of approximately 100-140 births per month, with staffing following AWHONN guidelines for ratios. The facility operates 24/7 with in-house OB, Peds hospitalist, Neonatologist, and Anesthesia services. The environment requires adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards.
