Plant Engineering Manager, Batch Chemicals for Electronics | 3610786

This site makes the chemistry. You will lead the engineering that keeps it safe, reliable, and improving. You set the site's technical direction, own capital projects from budget through validation, and build the engineering team. You work side by side with site operations leadership and trade best practices with engineering and research and development (R&D) peers at sister sites worldwide. Engineering leaders who still head to the floor when a batch, a line, or a critical asset goes down People who have owned capital projects end to end: scope, budget, install, startup, validation Managers who enjoy developing engineers as much as solving the hard problem themselves Leaders comfortable in a plant that handles industrial chemicals, with process safety first If your recent experience is program management without hands‑on ownership of plant engineering, or you want an individual‑contributor track, this is not your seat. Build the site's technical roadmap and line engineering priorities up with production goals Lead capital projects through planning, budgeting, installation, and validation Design and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling Lead root cause analysis and corrective action on critical failures and repeat issues Shape the reliability and maintenance strategy that keeps equipment running Drive Lean and Six Sigma improvements in safety, quality, throughput, and cost Hire, mentor, and develop engineers; own performance management and succession planning Bring new technologies, materials, and methods into the site This is a leadership role that stays close to the work. You will set strategy and manage people, and you will also be in the room on the toughest technical problem in the plant. It is fully on‑site, and it fits leaders who balance the long‑range plan with hands‑on execution, not those who have moved fully off the floor. If you are an engineering manager or senior engineering lead at a site where the big technical calls get made somewhere else, this is where they become yours. Bachelor of Science (BS) in Engineering: Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or closely related 8 to 12+ years of engineering experience in manufacturing, including leading engineers Hands‑on ownership of capital projects and equipment implementation Strong grounding in mechanical systems, process engineering, and reliability and maintenance Working knowledge of Lean and Six Sigma Batch chemical, specialty chemical, or electronics materials manufacturing (the strongest backgrounds come from here) High‑volume, multi‑site, or matrixed organizations Computer‑aided design (CAD), simulation tools, and enterprise resource planning (ERP) or manufacturing execution systems (MES) Pave Talent and our client are equal opportunity employers.
