Staff Accountant

Our client, a large and growing construction and real estate organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join its corporate accounting team.

The role will be on-site during training and then transition to a hybrid schedule .

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly and quarterly journal entries
• Perform account reconciliations and balance sheet analysis
• Assist with consolidated financial reporting
• Support month-end and quarter-end close activities
• Research and document accounting issues and new accounting standards
• Assist with external audit requests and internal control compliance efforts
• Analyze financial data and identify process improvement opportunities
• Participate in special projects and organizational initiatives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 1-3+ years of accounting experience
• Public accounting experience or corporate accounting experience welcome
• CPA, CPA candidate, or interest in pursuing CPA certification preferred
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Positive attitude and collaborative approach to work
