The Restoring Resilience Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and empathetic Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team in a fully remote capacity. Work Environment\nIn this remote position, you will be part of a committed and dynamic team that prioritizes collaboration, cultural understanding, and holistic treatment approaches. Our virtual clinic allows for flexible scheduling during standard business hours, Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, while accommodating individual patient needs when necessary. With a focus on telehealth services, you will utilize the latest technology to engage with clients in a manner that is both effective and accessible.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct in-depth mental health assessments, utilizing culturally competent frameworks to develop tailored treatment plans that address each patient's unique experiences and needs. \n
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and other modalities suited to individual therapy goals. \n
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, focusing on mental health challenges and resilience-building within a safe, supportive atmosphere. \n
- Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other health professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all patients. \n
- Provide crisis intervention services, handling mental health emergencies with professionalism and calmness to ensure patient safety and support. \n
- Educate patients and their families on mental health literacy, treatment pathways, and available community resources, fostering informed decision-making regarding care. \n
- Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with legal and ethical standards within our electronic health record (EHR) system. \n
- Participate actively in case conferences, team meetings, and cultural competency training sessions to enhance personal and team performance. \n
- Stay updated with current research and developments in mental health practices to continuously improve treatment effectiveness and client outcomes. \n
You will work primarily with a diverse patient population, including individuals from various racial, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds, LGBTQ+ communities, and immigrant groups. This role requires a nuanced approach to understand the unique cultural contexts of our clients, ensuring that therapy is inclusive and responsive to their specific challenges and needs.
Qualifications\n- \n
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. \n
- A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Texas. \n
- A strong foundation in understanding mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment modalities, and cultural competence in therapeutic practices. \n
- Proven experience in delivering individual and group therapy, with a focus on culturally responsive approaches that respect and honor client diversity. \n
- Excellent crisis intervention skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations. \n
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, enabling you to build rapport and trust with a wide range of clients. \n
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and familiarity with telehealth technologies. \n
- A commitment to ethical standards, professional boundaries, and confidentiality in all interactions. \n
- Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care for patients. \n

- Experience working in community mental health settings or with specific populations such as veterans, youth, or those experiencing homelessness. \n
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care approaches and their application in a therapeutic context. \n
- Certified in additional modalities or specialized approaches (e.g., EMDR, DBT) that enhance therapeutic offerings. \n
