Financial Services Litigation Associate - New York, NYA highly regarded Am Law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate to join its growing Financial Services Litigation practice in New York. This is an opportunity to work on sophisticated litigation, arbitration, and regulatory matters involving financial institutions, investment advisers, broker-dealers, fintech companies, and other participants in the financial services industry.The ideal candidate will bring strong commercial litigation experience, excellent writing and advocacy skills, and the ability to manage complex matters in a collaborative, fast-paced environment. Attorneys with experience representing regulated entities or working on financial services disputes are strongly encouraged to apply.Responsibilities:Manage complex litigation and arbitration matters from inception through resolutionDraft pleadings, motions, briefs, memoranda, and other substantive filingsConduct legal research and analysis involving commercial and regulatory issuesHandle all phases of discovery, including document review, written discovery, and depositionsPrepare witnesses and support trial, hearing, and arbitration proceedingsAdvise clients regarding litigation strategy, risk management, and dispute resolutionWork closely with partners and clients on high-stakes financial and regulatory mattersCollaborate across practice groups on matters involving financial regulations, enforcement actions, and business disputesQualifications:JD from an accredited law schoolActive New York Bar membershipApproximately 5-7 years of litigation experienceStrong commercial litigation, motion practice, and deposition experienceExcellent legal research, writing, and analytical skillsExperience with arbitration proceedings preferredFamiliarity with regulated industries, financial institutions, or financial services matters is a plusAbility to independently manage matters while maintaining exceptional client servicePreferred Experience:Financial Services LitigationCommercial LitigationRegulatory Enforcement MattersFINRA ArbitrationsSecurities LitigationBroker-Dealer RepresentationInvestment Adviser MattersRegulatory InvestigationsE-DiscoveryAppeals and Dispositive MotionsBenefitsCompetitive compensation ranging from approximately $250,000-$280,000 depending on experience and qualificationsComprehensive benefits package401(k) programBonus opportunityProfessional development and mentorship programsClear path for long-term career growth within a nationally recognized platform
