About the Position
We are seeking a compassionate, highly motivated Physician Assistant (PA) to join our oncology/hematology specialty clinic in Los Angeles, CA. This is a full-time opportunity.
Responsibilities
* Evaluate and manage oncology/hematology patients throughout the continuum of care.
* Obtain comprehensive histories, perform physical examinations, and develop treatment plans.
* Order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic studies.
* Monitor treatment response, symptoms, and potential treatment-related complications.
* Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment options, medications, and supportive care.
* Coordinate care with oncologist, primary care providers, specialists, and other members of the healthcare team.
* Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in the electronic medical record.
Qualifications
* Minimum one year experience as PA desired (new graduates encouraged to apply!)
* Current California Physician Assistant license in good standing.
* Prescriptive authority in California (including DEA license Schedules 3-5)
* National board certification appropriate to the provider's discipline.
* Graduate of an accredited PA program
* Oncology or hematology-oncology experience desired but not required.
* Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills.
* Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
* Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
* Bilingual preferred but not required
