Shipping And Receiving Forklift Operator

This person is responsible for moving trailers in and out of dock doors, yard and other areas as required. The role supports the Logistics Team as a warehouse forklift operator loading and unloading trucks as needed.

Job Duties:

• Practice safe behavior at all times, utilizing safe practices and appropriate PPE.
• Move trailers to and from loading docks at both buildings and around two storage yards as necessary.
• Communicate effectively via 2-way radio.
• Daily fax inventories and BOL's to Corporate Account Dept.
• Organize trailers in storage yards.
• Label trailers to facilitate identification and tracking.
• Track trailer locations, on site.
• Inspect trailers and yard tractor for necessary repairs.
• Manage trailer and yard tractor repair work orders.
• Perform basic maintenance and repairs to trailers and yard tractor.
• Assist with loading and unloading of trailers as called upon.
• Other duties as directed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Clean driving record
• Able to work with minimum supervision.
• Able to work overtime as needed.
• Work under pressure to meet production deadlines.
• Must be able to work in fast pace yard and warehouse environment.
• Work in hot and cold environments (exposed to changing weather conditions).
• Mechanical ability to diagnosis truck/trailer problems.
• CDL helpful

Must follow all guidelines related to SSOP's, GMP's, PPE's, etc.

Must follow all rules in line with the company handbook, including attendance, break times, etc.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time and work in a hot/cold or wet/dry environment.
