Auto-Owners Insurance, a top-rated insurance carrier, is seeking a motivated individual to join our IT Division as an IT Project Lead. Responsibilities are to manage the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of company projects specifically for our IT Security areas. The position requires the person to:Have at least a few years of experience leading technical projects, ideally infrastructure or security related projectsCoordinate work for projects involving multiple team membersCreate and execute project work plans to meet changing needs and requirementsHelp identify resources needed and work with leaders to assign individual tasksPrepare and review project‐related documents prepared by the team before passing along to stakeholders, ensuring they are complete, current, and stored appropriatelyEffectively apply project management methodologies and best practicesPerform risk analysis and recommend actions to mitigate riskEnsure projects meet stakeholder objectives.Desired Skills and ExperienceBachelor’s degree from four-year college or university, or several years related experience or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.Exhibit good levels of organization, communication, and leadershipDemonstrated track record of effectively working with individuals from different backgrounds and experience levels.Strong problem resolution skillsProven performance delivering high-quality solutions on individual projects.Ability towrite routine reports and correspondencefacilitate team meetings and handle project conflicts within and outside of the teamunderstand complex concepts related to the projectInspire other team members to attain goals and pursue excellenceBenefitsAuto-Owners offers a wide range of career opportunities, and we are seeking talent that will help us continue our long tradition of success.
