Benefits Specialist

The Benefits Specialist will handle day to day tasks and processes for the Benefits and Leaves Department. This role will act as the first line of contact for team member questions and concerns related to benefits or leave of absence. The Benefits Specialist will act as the primary individual on the Benefits and Leaves team to handle tactical items as appropriate. Team member will work cross functionally and may be asked to provide support as a back-up to other team members. Responsibilities: Carrying out the Company's organizational values and operating in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and Company policies are required functions. Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following: Provide primary coverage on the HR Hotline answering team member questions and responding to requests regarding benefits and leave of absence. Monitor department inboxes and provide follow up to questions and requests. Drafts and creates correspondence (letters, emails, fax) for benefits and leaves related inquiries and issues. Enter status updates, send documentation as needed, process documenation for Benefits and Leaves and enter in the system of record. Coordinate and communicate 401k, health, life and disability insurance enrollments with service providers concerning routine administration of programs. Perform other job-related duties and special projects as required. Requirements Job Requirements/Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience Course(s) of Study: Human Resources Experience: 1 - 2 years Type of Experience: Experience in Human Rescources, Benefits, or related field Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Must be able to commit to Ruan's value statement by acting with integrity in everything we do. Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational and coordination skills needed. Must have knowledge of computers and Microsoft office products.
