About the Role:

Marine Chemist Service Inc is looking for a motivated Industrial Hygiene Technician to join our team in Newport News, VA. Responsibilities:

Conduct industrial hygiene sampling and monitoring for asbestos, lead and other metals, and mold

Perform atmosphere testing in marine and industrial settings

Collect and document field data, prepare detailed reports, and maintain accurate records

Support compliance with OSHA, NIOSH, and other applicable regulatory standards

Calibrate, operate, and maintain industrial hygiene monitoring equipment

Collaborate with clients and safety personnel to identify and mitigate workplace health hazards

Requirements:

Prior experience in industrial hygiene, environmental health, or occupational safety is a plus but not required.

Familiarity with OSHA regulations, NIOSH methods, and industrial hygiene sampling techniques is also a plus but not required.

Experience working in marine, shipyard, or heavy industrial environments is highly desirable

Strong attention to detail with excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying environmental conditions

Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed. Company vehicles are provided.
