Job Summary
Operating Room (OR) Nurse Surgical Services Location: Not specified. The OR Staff Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients across the age spectrum within the Surgical Services Department. This role involves supervising and coordinating care planning with other disciplines to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Job Details

• Certifications, Education Requirements, Degree Requirements, Location Requirements, and Years of Experience: Current California RN license, 2 years of OR experience, BLS certification, ACLS certification within six months of employment and recertified every two years, PALS certification for ER nurses with initial certification required.
• Schedule: Day shift, 10 hours shifts, 4 days per week, minimum of 40 hours weekly.
• Responsibilities include functioning as a scrub, circulating, or float nurse in the operating room, maintaining professional standards, participating in performance improvement programs, and providing a safe, and emotionally supportive environment for patients.
• Candidate must demonstrate age-specific competency for adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, with skills to assess data reflective of the patients status and interpret relative to their needs.
• Willingness to perform other duties and participate in assignments to PACU, outpatient endoscopy unit, and central service as assigned.
• Share call duty as required.
