Role Overview

As a Site Reliability Engineer, you will join a team responsible for the reliability, scalability, and operational excellence of a product platform. This role involves working with engineering and product teams to design, build, and operate resilient platform services. A key focus will be building and owning a new custom observability platform to provide a clear, end-to-end view of critical pipelines. This position requires some coding and a willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and own a new custom observability platform for end-to-end pipeline visibility.
• Develop monitoring for multi-cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) and Kubernetes clusters.
• Support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and deployment processes.
• Collaborate with the product team to translate requirements for the platform team.
• Track the health of event-streaming infrastructure like Apache Kafka and data-pipeline orchestration.
• Monitor the performance and reliability of AI/ML applications in production.
• Own core observability tooling such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
• Maintain security controls, manage authentication, and ensure infrastructure compliance (HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001).
• Automate infrastructure, application configuration, and health checks for zero-downtime updates.

Required Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or a related field plus 4 years of relevant technology experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 6+ years of relevant expertise is required in lieu of a degree.
• Strong, hands-on experience with AWS.
• In-depth knowledge of Kubernetes for deploying, scaling, and operating containerized workloads.
• Solid DevOps and GitOps practice, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Working proficiency in React and TypeScript.
• Strong Python engineering skills with a data-engineering focus.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with multi-cloud environments.
• Experience with graph databases, particularly Neo4j and Cypher.
• Experience with Kafka real-time event streaming components and workloads.
