Program Manager - FDE and Manager Outcomes

Role Description

As a Program Manager for FDE & Managed Outcomes at Phrase, you will be responsible for transforming early-stage operations into a structured system that drives results. Your role will involve:

• Owning the end-to-end run of FDE and managed-outcomes engagements, from signed scope through delivery to clean close-out and handoff.
• Holding the single source of truth for engagement status, milestones, owners, and risks, ensuring it remains current.
• Running the cadence of standups, check-ins, and reviews that are short, useful, and drive decisions.
• Keeping FDE engineers unblocked by surfacing dependencies early and protecting their focus.
• Being the steady point of contact for customers during delivery, managing timelines and expectations.
• Translating between engineer-speak and customer-clear updates.
• Catching drift early by raising slipping timelines or creeping scope.
• Designing and continuously improving the scoping-to-delivery process.
• Building feedback loops between what's sold, what's delivered, and what's learned.
• Building and maintaining lightweight AI agents and automation for status chasing and reporting.
• Instrumenting the portfolio for visibility of status, throughput, risk, and outcomes.
• Providing leadership with an always-current view of the FDE and managed-outcomes portfolio.

Qualifications

• Several years running complex, cross-functional programs or engagements, ideally in a delivery, professional services, FDE, or technical PM context.
• A track record of bringing order to messy, early-stage operations.
• Genuinely AI-native with experience in automating work and building agents.
• Strong owner's instinct, with the ability to chase loose ends and hold commitments.
• Skilled at managing both engineers and customers.
• Comfortable with ambiguity and building from early traction.
• A clear, concise communicator.
• Background in localization, language AI, or a technical SaaS delivery environment (desirable).
• Experience standing up or scaling a PM or delivery function from early traction (desirable).
