Job Title

Travel RN – Emergency Room (Night Shift / 8-Week Contract)

Location

Nashua, NH | Free Standing Emergency Department

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Travel | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 8-Week Assignment | Every other weekend expected

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Department setting with a patient ratio of 5:1, with flexibility when utilizing the trauma room
• Perform and support a wide range of procedures including trauma care, stroke care, laceration repair, orthopedic trauma, U/S IV insertion, IO insertion, EKG, eye exams, psychiatric care, and cardiopulmonary care
• Initiate protocol-based workups including labs, EKG, x-rays, and medications based on chief complaint; run POC lab testing for all patients
• Collaborate with providers to complete medical screening exams within 10 minutes of patient arrival
• Operate unit equipment including Alaris pumps, Pyxis, Lucas Device, Rapid Infuser, and U/S IV tools; document using Meditech Expanse EMR
• Float to the main ER as needed; work effectively with peers and EMS agencies to deliver excellent patient care

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in New Hampshire
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required for contract labor
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, MOAB, and TNCC certifications required for contract labor
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and punctuality
• Strong understanding of medical terminology

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong proficiency in EKG interpretation
• Experience caring for complex patient populations including NEHI cardiac patients, DKA, sepsis, trauma, and stroke
• Familiarity with Meditech Expanse or similar EMR platforms
• Motivated, creative problem-solver with a genuine drive for excellence in patient care and experience
