As a Registered Nurse (RN) you will assume responsibility and accountability for: Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient. Promoting the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act. Demonstrating personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values. Job Requirements Education Requirements Associate’s Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or endorsement accepted. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred. Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates; preferred for experienced RNs. Experience Requirements One year experience preferred. Specialty-specific nursing skills and knowledge base. Licenses/Certification Requirements RN License required; current state nursing license or valid RN license from a state in the National Licensure Compact. Physical Requirements Medium Work – able to exert up to 50 lbs force occasionally, 20 lbs frequently, and 10 lbs constantly. Where You'll Work At St. Francis Hospital, a Magnet® hospital, the Emergency Department has 48 beds. Our department serves a wide variety of patients including families from the north and eastern parts of Colorado Springs that are rapidly growing. Our main patient mix includes all patients across the lifespan with a high frequency of families, OB and children. We have a very collaborative and positive team and look for candidates who want to be part of a team, help our department grow and bring creative problem-solving skills.
