Interventional Technologist I

Full‑time, days shift (Mon–Fri), 4 10‑hour shifts with a rotating day off; on‑call days 5‑7 per month. Sign‑on bonus: $15,000 for full‑time employees with a 2‑year work agreement. Job Summary Provides advanced procedural and radiologic support to physicians; maintains a well‑stocked and clean work environment; assists in pre‑ and post‑procedural patient care; rotates on‑call responsibilities. Responsibilities Assist in pre‑ and post‑procedural patient care, cross‑trained to scrub on all procedures. Communicate with personnel for follow‑up of procedure patients and identify learning needs. Systematically collect, assess, and document data with multidisciplinary teams; document chronological events in Epic. Assist in image management and processing; troubleshoot equipment problems. Provide patient care for a broad range of non‑cardiac procedures (mechanical thrombectomies, angioplasties, stent placements, biopsies, line placements, thrombolysis, embolizations, coils, drainage catheters, IVC filters). Participate in the Universal Protocol for all invasive procedures. Monitor patient level of moderate sedation; initiate additional comfort measures/alternatives for sedation. Ensure informed consent obtained and questions answered. Operate specialized equipment during procedures under limited physician supervision. Attend vendor in‑services, support new technology, and assist in protocol implementation. Clean and disinfect the department daily; check equipment status; communicate supply issues. Attend mandatory in‑services and meet educational standards. Assist in collection of statistics and present findings for process improvement. Maintain professional standards in line with ARRT and ASRT guidelines. Train new personnel and serve as mentor. Requirements Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology Program. Registered Radiology Technologist – ARRT and Basic Life Support (American Heart Association) required. Minimum 6 months of related experience. Basic computer skills. In‑depth knowledge of the moderate sedation process. Technical, troubleshooting, and expert knowledge of catheters and equipment for non‑cardiovascular procedures. Effective interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to organize and prioritize work efficiently. Ability to analyze data to develop knowledge and interpretations. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Demonstrated ethical and professional behavior at all times. Capable of wearing lead aprons for extended periods.
