Position: Accountant [1033]

Program: Amarillo, Texas - Accounting & Payroll

Salary: $43,305.60 - $48,880.00 Annually

Shift available: Full-time

Essential duties and responsibilities:

• Staff will maintain ethical and professional communications at all times using respectful Trauma-Informed Care language
• Payroll and benefits processing for biweekly payroll
• Maintain payroll filing systems
• Maintain confidentiality for all employees of the agency
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and the leadership teams
• Prepare daily bank deposit
• Prepare monthly billings for grant reporting
• Prepare weekly health benefit fund processing
• Assist with annual CPA audit or other external audits
• Other duties as assigned
• Adheres to TPC Business Code of Conduct and reports concerns if ethical and/or business standards defined in the code are compromised

R equired qualifications to be successful in the job:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a major in Accounting or Finance, or have at least 18 credit hours in accounting
• Minimum one (1) year of experience in payroll, accounting, bookkeeping, or auditing
• Employees may be required to utilize their personal mobile phones for two-factor authentication (2FA). Full statement under Informational Documents:
• Must have a valid Texas driver’s license and be insurable under agency vehicle policy
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Preferred qualifications to be successful in the job:

• Experience with ADP Software
• Experience in governmental or cost accounting
