Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room procedures. The role involves preparing sterile supplies, assisting surgeons, and maintaining a sterile environment to ensure efficient surgical operations.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare patient rooms and surgical instruments for procedures.
• Assist in positioning and transporting patients safely.
• Maintain sterile techniques during procedures by opening supplies, draping, and gowning staff.
• Pass instruments, sutures, and supplies to surgeons as needed.
• Collect, label, and care for specimens according to protocols.
• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments and equipment following guidelines.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Graduate of an accredited OR technician program or equivalent military experience.
• Successful completion of the Certified Surgical Technologist exam through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Previous experience or specialized training in surgical technology preferred.
