CNC Machinist - 2nd Shift

Skilled 2nd Shift Cnc MachinistBlack Bear Talent is hiring a skilled 2nd Shift CNC Machinist with hands-on experience operating both CNC Mills and CNC Lathes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC programming basics, with the ability to write, modify, and troubleshoot programs as needed. This is an opportunity for an experienced machinist who can confidently set up, operate, and make adjustments to CNC equipment while producing quality parts to specification.Schedule: 2nd Shift: Monday – Thursday, Hours are 3:00 PM – 1:30 AM. This position offers a 4-day work week with a 3-day weekend every week.Pay Range dependent upon experience $18 - $26.Responsibilities:Operate a variety of CNC and manual machining equipmentProgram and set up CNC lathes and milling machines with minimal supervisionManufacture precision parts according to blueprints, drawings, and quality specificationsInspect and measure finished parts to ensure conformance to requirementsMake tooling and machine adjustments as neededRead and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and planning dataPerform de-burring and finishing processes when requiredChange tooling and maintain machine operation efficiencyComplete production and quality paperwork accuratelyMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areasPerform preventative machine maintenance checks as assignedFollow all company procedures, safety policies, and work instructionsWork overtime or weekends as needed to support operational demandsQualifications:Previous CNC machining experience requiredExperience programming and setting up CNC equipment preferredStrong understanding of machining processes and blueprint readingWorking knowledge of GD&T requiredExperience with Fanuc controls preferredMastercam or Featurecam experience is a plusStrong math and measurement skillsExcellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a teamPhysical Requirements:Ability to stand for extended periods of timeAbility to lift up to 50 poundsGood manual dexterity and visual attention to detailAbility to safely operate manufacturing equipment in an industrial environment
