Tenured or Tenure-Track Assistant Professor in Engineering (Mechanical)

Centre College invites applications for a tenured or tenure-track faculty position as Assistant or Associate Professor of Engineering, beginning in August 2026. Candidates must have a Ph.D in mechanical engineering or closely aligned discipline by the time of appointment. This faculty position presents an exciting opportunity to help build a new general engineering program with the goal of attaining ABET accreditation within four years. New faculty will teach core engineering courses-such as first-year engineering, programming, mechanics, or capstone design-and will also have the chance to develop upper-level electives aligned with their expertise. They will join a collaborative and supportive program dedicated to inclusive teaching and to student engagement beyond the classroom through academic advising and mentored research, which is both expected and supported.
