Our client is looking for a Senior Vice President of Accounting to join their already strong finance and accounting team. This multi-billion dollar company has achieved significant growth over the years and is continuing to expand. If you're looking for engaging and challenging work that's beyond routine GL accounting, this would be it. This team works through complex accounting issues that will require someone highly skilled in Excel, well versed in public company reporting standards, and ideally experienced in M&A/purchase price accounting.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with the accounting integration process for newly acquired companies, ensuring compliance with GAAP and ICFR standards.
• Lead financial reporting efforts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of reporting in accordance with public company requirements.
• Manage and streamline complex accounting processes, producing meaningful data analysis from large spreadsheets in Excel.
• Collaborate with external and internal stakeholders, including 3rd parties such as Big 4 accounting firms, while maintaining oversight of internal accounting processes.
• Conduct detailed financial reviews and reconciliations to support acquisition activities and post-merger integrations.
• Provide support to others on the accounting and finance team as needed, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Active CPA license required. CFE is a plus.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 4+ years in public accounting (Big 4 highly preferred).
• Experience working with or for public companies, with a strong understanding of SEC reporting requirements.
• Hands-on experience with complex financial data and advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience with NetSuite or other ERP implementations is highly desirable.
• Exposure to M&A processes is a plus.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
