Oberlin - Inspector Hourly Full-Time Reports To: Executive Housekeeper FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Position Summary The Inspector is responsible for ensuring the overall cleanliness of the hotel and will assist the Executive Housekeeper and Assistant Executive Housekeeper with all duties including training, room inspections, and inventory control. The Inspector is to inspect rooms after they have been cleaned to ensure 100 percent guest satisfaction. Responsibilities Inspecting rooms daily to ensure brand standards and overall cleanliness Knowledge of and ability to perform opening/closing procedures for the housekeeping department as needed Ensuring that all maintenance issues are reported immediately Communication of room status to alldivisions Embracing, enforcing, and promoting Quality Hospitality culture throughout the housekeeping department Embracing and demonstrating the core ideology daily Operating with guest satisfaction urgency and striving for 100 percent guest satisfaction at all times Promoting and encouraging team work at all times Ability to perform room attendant responsibilities as needed Providing information to guests about hotel services, facilities, and other amenities Requirements Prior housekeeping experience is required Prior experience in a hospitality setting is preferred Strong initiative and workethic Punctual, reliable, and regular attendance Strong attention todetail Customer-service oriented Strong multitasking and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-pacedenvironment Excellent communication skills –bothverbal and written Excellent interpersonal skills Must be able to lift and carry up to 25lbs.
