The Shipping Associate will help bring our customers’ labels and packaging to life, enabling them to stand out over the competition, and create a customer experience that is second to none. Shift Available: Monday-Friday; 7am-3pm Our full benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, PTO, paid holidays, short- and long-term disability, life insurance, and much more Compensation will be based on the skills and experiences you bring to Smyth Key Responsibilities for Shipping Associate Include: Inspecting and packing finished products in accordance with customer specifications. Studying shipping notices, packing slips, bills of lading, orders, and other records to determine shipping requirements. Assisting with loading and unloading trucks using a forklift or pallet jack, and weighing and wrapping skids. Performing various receiving functions, such as depalletizing and putting away products in the correct location. Assisting with booking carriers or small parcel packages when necessary. Working closely with teams/departments to create an environment that supports workflow and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate must demonstrate: Effective time management, attention to detail, and multi-tasking skills Solid computer skills, including the ability to learn new computer systems, such as UPS software Good math, reading, and writing skills Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with a diverse group of people and personalities Ability to provide a high level of customer service, responding promptly and thoroughly to the inquiries of internal customers Education, Skills, and Experience: Required: High school diploma or equivalent Required: Can perform heavy work, lifting up to 60 pounds, with frequent lifting/carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds Required: Ability to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language Required: Experience with shipping and receiving operations, utilizing warehouse equipment such as forklift and electric pallet jack Preferred: Experience with UPS and/or FedEx software A Plus: Experience working lean manufacturing and ISO quality systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
