This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.We are a team of collaborators, doers, and problem-solvers who are relentlessly committed to a culture of safety. This position will directly impact the history of space exploration and will require your commitment and detailed attention towards safe and repeatable space flight. Join us in lowering the cost of access to space and enabling Blue Origin’s vision of millions of people living and working in space to benefit Earth.In this role, you will Fabricate/Weld hardware for various spaceflight systems supporting fluid components typically using TIG/304/304L or 316/316L stainless steel, designed to ASME B33.1 standards. You will share in the team’s impact on all aspects of these operations ensuring safety, quality, and productivity. Mechanical aptitude, ability to follow detailed technical instructions and clearly communicate both verbal and written instructions is paramount. In this role you will collaborate with engineering to implement and refine new manufacturing processes. This position will report to the Weld Shop Supervisor and directly supports our manufacturing integration teams. Passion for our mission and vision is required!**Special Mentions*** These openings are primarily **fixed-term.** They start off as 6-months of employment with benefits* Travel expected up to 20% of the time* Shifts available: + **A Shift** (Mon-Thu 5:00am - 3:30pm) + **B Shift** (Mon-Thu 3:00pm - 1:30am) + **C Shift** (Fri-Sun 5:00am - 5:30pm) + **D Shift** (Fri-Sun 5:00pm - 5:30am)* Interviews will include a technical welding assessment* Multiple positions available**Minimum Qualifications*** High School Diploma or GED.* 5+ years of GTAW welding experience in an aerospace or precision manufacturing production environment.* 5+ years of experience in stainless steel cryogenic installations, typically familiar with 2G, 5G and 6G positions per ASME B31.3* 5+ years of experience welding materials such as, stainless, Inconel or Monel.* Ability to fabricate and use large cutting saws, punches, formers, brakes and standard hand tools.* Must be able to frequently lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50lbs.* Bend/kneel, stoop/crouch, twist/turn, grasp/reach overhead and outward frequently.* Work requires the ability to change into or out of personal protective equipment when entering or exiting manufacturing, laboratory, or other areas.* Work may require the ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.)* Ability to travel up to 20% supporting vendor and Blue Origin test facilities.* Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.* Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.**Preferred Qualifications*** Some technical coursework and/or AA technical degree/equivalent.* Experience in MIG, FCAW, SMAW, Plasma and OTW is a plus.* Experience in structural steel fabrication, supporting PAD construction.* Experience in laser cutting, welding automation and or robotics is a plus.* Knowledge of 5S and lean manufacturing principles.* Current GTAW certifications in accordance with AWS D17.1.* Some level of confidence in aerospace manufacturing specifications for large complex thick wall tubes and pipe, thin wall ducts, and welded assemblies.* Ability to operate material handling equipment. (Forklift, Crane, Hoist, Man-lift, etc.)* Work 1st or 2nd shift, as well as weekends and overtime, when necessary.**Culture Statement**Don’t meet all desired requirements?
