Experienced Dental Hygienist - Part Time
As an Experienced Dental Hygienist, you will be essential in delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring optimal oral health for our clients. Reporting to the lead dentist, your core skills in patient assessment, dental terminology, and aseptic techniques will be vital in providing thorough cleanings and educating patients on oral hygiene. Your premium expertise in pediatric dentistry and familiarity with software like Eaglesoft and Dentrix will enhance our practices efficiency. Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Provides oral or written pre-operative and post-operative treatment instructions.
Reviews patient charts prior to appointments, updates health histories and other information that may affect treatments including what doctor they will see.
Provides periodontal treatments to include scaling, root planning, curettage, periodontal charting and polishing.
Provides treatment for adult and children prophys which may include but not limited to – exams, radiographs, prophys, fluoride, and sealant.
Administer local anesthesia with directions from the doctor if necessary.
Promotes exceptional dental care by providing periodontal health education through demonstration and appropriate literature, including but not limited to Guru education system.
Documents services rendered and other related information in patients charts following each appointment.
Charts necessary future dental treatments as dictated by the Doctor during examinations to include soft and hard tissue charting.
Responsible for proper upkeep of operatory equipment at all times including but not limited to:
general cleaning
sharpening and sterilizing hand instruments
disinfecting operatories between appointments
cleaning and maintaining equipment related to daily functions (i.e. sterilizer, autoclave).
Provides support to office personnel when primary responsibilities are completed including but not limited to:
setting and confirming appointments and/or filling schedule
